The Yixing Teapot is handmade out of a special type of clay that Chinese nation has used for many centuries. This special clay allows the teapot to absorb the flavor of the tea.

If the same tea is made in the tea pot for over a year, the rich flavor of tea can be tasted even without the tea leaves. The hot water will absorb the flavors that have been locked inside the walls of the teapot.
